The Academy’s Board comprises the President, eight elected Fellows, the CEO and, from time to time, a Director elected by the Board.

Our vision for reconciliation is that all Australians recognise and value Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander custodianship as one of the oldest knowledge systems on the planet.

The Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering values by which it conducts its day-to-day operations, and the expectations on its Fellows, staff and the organisations and people that it partners with.

There are five Learned Academies in Australia. ATSE is a member of ACOLA — the Australian Council of Learned Academies.

The Academy has policies to safeguard and advance the rights of everyone who interacts with it – public, Fellows and staff.

The Academy’s Strategic Plan 2021-2025 identifies the strategic goals for ATSE to deliver its mission over the next four years.

We work with organisations in Australia and overseas.

Our Annual Reviews highlight the key activities for each financial year, the achievements of Fellows and the abridged audited accounts from the Directors’ Report.

The Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering was founded in 1975 as one of Australia’s four learned Academies.

We are registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission and is listed by name as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR).

The ATSE Secretariat is headquartered in Canberra and serves the national Fellowship.
