ATSE is organising a Korea-Australia one-day workshop on the theme of ‘Digital Transformation’ in Adelaide on Wednesday April 12 2017.
Today’s foundational technologies, viz the Internet, fixed and mobile broadband, cloud services, have had a significant impact on the economy. However, they are also acting as the basis of a new set of foundational technologies namely the Internet of Things, Big Data and Machine Learning. These emerging technologies will disrupt every aspect and every vertical in the economy.
Leading Australian and Korean experts from academia and industry will address three key subthemes under this rubric: transport; energy networks; and smart cities.
The workshop is run under the auspices of the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science-funded Korea Australia Science and Innovation Connect (KASIC) program.
ATSE thanks the office of UniSA Deputy Vice Chancellor and Vice President: External Relations and Strategic Projects, Mr Nigel Relph, for their support of the event and our Korean sister academy, the National Academy of Engineering Korea, for their assistance with the Korean delegation.
Please note that places are limited.
Registrations close 12pm Monday 3 April 2017. Late registrations will not be accepted.
