The Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering (ATSE), in association with the Australia-India Council, has launched a new program to optimise the skills of Australian and Indian leading early career researchers through the Australia India Science and Technology Research Award.
This Award will facilitate a two way exchange between Australian and Indian Young Scientists (under 40 years of age) in early 2010. It will fund one Australian early career scientist to undertake a three month research placement in India and one Indian early career scientist to travel to Australia to complete a three month research placement, during the first half of 2010.
Applications for Australians to travel to India closed on Friday 27th November 2009.
Applications for India nationals to travel to Australiaclosed on 30 November 2009.
Applicants will be notified of outcomes in mid December 2009.
The annual Australia India Science and Technology Research Award topic will reflect the national research priorities of Australia and India.
The focus topic of the 2010 Research Award is b> Energy generation in a low carbon future Proposals for research collaborations in this field are encouraged.
This Award aims to promote strong research collaboration links between Australia and India; recognise excellence in SET for early career Australian and Indian researchers, assist in the development of international links while enhancing Australia-India joint research projects by information and skill sharing. |
