Our Academy Fellows are drawn from the areas of applied physical science and technology, applied biological science and technology, engineering and management, and development and leadership. This includes the diverse fields of:
The membership process is based on nomination, not application. Admission as a Fellow of the Academy requires a nomination to be submitted by at least two ATSE Fellows, (one as proposer and one as seconder), and also by up to three supporters who preferably but not necessarily, are Fellows. All Fellows must be financial members of the Academy. In accordance with the Privacy Act, ATSE will use and retain the information provided in the Nomination Form only for purposes related to the Nomination. To enquire about the membership or nomination process please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
The Membership Committee is constitutionally responsible for recommending new Fellow candidates through the Board for election. The Committee is appointed from among the fellowship each year by the Board. The 2018 Membership Committee is shown below. 2018 Committee table - see attached.
Nominations of candidates may be initiated, developed and submitted by individual Fellows, but as has been the practice in recent years, it is augmented with a strategic search process.
Each Academy State and Territory Division appoints a Membership Development Coordinator who will work with their Division Committee under the national coordination of the Vice-President (Membership) to identify strong candidates. They may also seek suitable Fellows to perform the roles of Nominators of the candidates identified.
