The Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering (ATSE) is offering an internship for a current or recent higher education research graduate student to gain experience working in the field of STEM policy.
The Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering (ATSE) is an independent, non-government organisation driving technology solutions for a better Australia. ATSE advocates for a future in which technology, engineering and innovation contribute significantly to Australia’s social, economic and environmental wellbeing.
The Academy is empowered in its mission by some 800 Fellows drawn from industry, academia, research institutes and government, who represent the brightest and the best in technological sciences and engineering in Australia.
The Academy provides robust, independent and trusted evidence-based advice on technological issues of national importance. ATSE fosters national and international collaboration and encourages technology transfer for economic, social and environmental benefit. The Academy also works closely with relevant organisations in Australia and international academies of engineering and technological sciences. The Academy's national Secretariat is located in the St Kilda Road district of Melbourne. The Academy functions operationally through the Secretariat and State and Territory Divisions.
ATSE has nine Topic Forums to provide strategic focus and profile for the Academy. These Forums are aligned with ATSE’s National Technology Challenges, namely Energy, Water, Education, Health Technology, Agriculture, Digital Futures, Mineral Resources, Infrastructure and Industry & Innovation. Each Forum has a Committee comprising Fellows of the Academy.
