Are you a women or non-binary person interested in applying for an Elevate: Boosting diversity in STEM scholarship for 2027?

Applications are open for ATSE’s Elevate: Boosting diversity in STEM scholarship program. The program aims to address gender inequities in STEM through growing professional skills of women and non-binary people in STEM and propelling women and non-binary people into leadership. 

Elevate provides scholarships to women and non-binary people to study undergraduate STEM degrees. In addition to a scholarship, the program provides access to skill-building workshops, peer mentoring and networking events, and 24-hour wellbeing and psychosocial support. 

Anyone interested in learning more about the program and applying for the 2027 intake is invited to join ATSE for a public online information session. 

The information session has everything you need to know to submit a strong application. The session will cover:

  • Eligible degrees and disciplines
  • Key application timelines
  • Helpful tips to strengthen your submission
  • Answers to applicant FAQs

 

Changes to the 2027 Elevate program

  • Postgraduate and Leadership scholarships will not be available in this round. This applies to those commencing the following degrees in 2027: Doctor of Philosophy, Master of Philosophy, Master by Research, Master by Coursework, Degrees to improve business acumen
  • Priority disciplines for undergraduate degrees have been reviewed. Please consult the Scholarship eligibility section for a complete list of priority degrees.

 

Accessibility

Diversity and inclusion is embedded into the Elevate program. AUSLAN interpreters and captions will be available during the information session.

Eligibility criteria: 

  • Identify as a woman or non-binary person 

  • Be enrolling as a domestic student at an Australian University 

  • Be planning to undertake an eligible undergraduate STEM degree commencing in 2027
