Tour the Kooragang Island Facility

Orica’s Kooragang Island facility hosts a major industrial complex that plays a vital role in both the company’s global operations and the New South Wales economy. The site includes an ammonia plant, three nitric acid plants, two ammonium nitrate plants, and a dispatch facility, collectively producing over a million tonnes of chemical products annually for use in mining, agriculture, infrastructure, and medical sectors. It also hosts a pioneering carbon capture and utilisation (CCU) plant under development by MCi Carbon, which will extract CO₂ directly from Orica’s ammonia production process, showcasing Orica's strong commitment to sustainable innovation.
