Dr Douglas Bock contributes to the development and operation of world-class radio telescopes. As an engineer and scientist, he undertakes innovative technical design and research for these complex electronic systems.

He made critical advances for the Australian Molonglo interferometer and the Combined Array for Research in Mm-wave Astronomy in USA, before leading commissioning and operations of the Australia Square Kilometre Array (SKA) Pathfinder in WA.

He is Australia’s Science Director on the SKA Board and led the Operations Working Group. He has shown strategic vision and expertise in constructing telescopes with complex electronics and precision engineering.
