ATSE has joined forces with the prestigious National Academy of Engineering Korea (NAEK) to hold a critical workshop about hydrogen.
Leading Korean and Australian experts will gather at the Hydrogen Futures workshop to discuss the challenges and opportunities of this important component of the clean energy mix.
The workshop will help build crucial linkages and enable knowledge sharing between Australia and Korea to create new opportunities for research and commercial partnerships.
Dr Alan Finkel FTSE FAA, Australia’s Chief Scientist and former President of ATSE, will be the Australian keynote speaker. Dr Finkel played a key role in developing in the Australia’s National Hydrogen Strategy launched in November 2019.
The Korean keynote speaker will be renewable energy luminary Professor Chinho Park, recently the Managing Director of Energy Industry, OSP, at the Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
Fifty experts in hydrogen and clean energy from Australian and Korean government, industry, research and academia will participate in the event at the University of Melbourne’s Woodward Centre on 3 March.
The Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering is delighted to welcome a senior delegation from the Republic of Korea, including the President of NAEK Professor Oh-Kyong Kwon.
Hydrogen Futures workshop is supported by the Australian Korea Foundation (part of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade), Woodside Energy and the Melbourne Energy Institute at the University of Melbourne.
