The Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering and the National Committee for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (NCAFF) of the Australian Academy of Science recommend that to achieve the $100 billion target, policies need to be implemented that address the impact of climate change on agriculture.
They also recommend policies that provide an increased focus on translating research and development to products that give Australian agriculture a competitive advantage.
