The pace of change is increasing and there are boundless opportunities for future digital technologies, applications and business models to further transform our society. The changes we have seen in the first 19 years of the 21st century will only be magnified in the next 19 years.
The Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering and the Australian Academy of Science strongly assert that to enhance our participation in the digital economy, Australia needs to plan strategically for what we call our digital future.
This strategic plan is the result of a collaboration between the two academies. It is complemented by a series of digital readiness studies being undertaken by the Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering.
