For an early career individual or a team (up to three members) that has demonstrated exceptional dedication to building resilient data pipelines.

NEW AWARD FOR 2026

Resilient Data Engineering Award

Nominations for the Resilient Data Engineering Award will open on 10 March and close at 5:00pm on 12 May 2026.

The Resilient Data Engineering Award is awarded to an early career data individual in academia, industry or the public sector/publicly funded institution, or to a team of up to three members, who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to building resilient data pipelines.

This excellence can come in many forms. For example, individuals or teams from government or industry organisations who have demonstrated excellence in resilient data engineering are highly encouraged to apply.

We also highly encourage nominating outstanding diverse candidates, including women, who have made exceptional contributions in this field.

At least one member of the team, ideally the lead researcher, will be less than 7 years post PhD or an early-career industry leader.

Benefits to the awardee(s) include a medal, $10,000 in prize money, travel and accommodation fund of $1,500 to attend the annual ATSE Awards Gala Dinner, support from ATSE to achieve media and social media coverage, and opportunities to engage with ATSE events which afford the awardee high exposure to an influential cohort of experts and decision-makers.
