Dr Alessandra Pucci has made an outstanding contribution to the development of the Australian Biotechnology industry. She started up and ran, one of the country's first and leading biotechnology companies, demonstrating outstanding technological skills.
Dr Pucci has been on several important Federal and State Government Committees including ASTEC. She has consulted widely for the Government and has been coauthor of 8 Federal Government and 2 State Government reports which have been important in forming policies.
In the high technology business arena, Dr Pucci has achieved world-wide recognition and has consulted for important Australian and overseas companies. Her contributions to technology and business have been recognised by the award of several honours including Australian Business Woman of the Year, the Eisenhower Fellowship and the Order of Australia.
Her enthusiasm, abilities and scientific knowledge would make her a most valuable asset to the Academy.
