Andy Greig is Managing Director of Bechtel Australia and President of Bechtel Mining and Metals Global Business Unit. He has grown Bechtel Australia to staff numbers of about 3500, servicing major infrastructure projects across Australia. These include most of the nation?s major liquefied natural gas facilities, the largest coal services facility in the world, and Rio Tinto?s Yarwan 2 alumina refinery. In 2002, Andy Greig convinced Bechtel management that Brisbane rather than Denver was the logical home for the Mining and Metals Unit ? one of five business lines that make up the Bechtel international empire. He has built the Unit from a zero base to over 2000 staff, supporting projects around the world. Andy Greig is strongly supporting ATSE?s education program.
