Bill's expertise covers executive management, civil, mining, building and mechanical engineering and waste management. He has extensive experience with all forms of contract delivery and with major international joint ventures and alliances. Commencing work with Queensland Main Roads in 1969, apart from a short period in 1978 Bill has worked for the Leighton Holdings Group of Companies since 1975, at various times holding senior executive positions its subsidiaries Thiess, Leighton, John Holland and Leighton Asia. Bill has worked throughout Australia and for nine years in Hong Kong.
Bill is currently Chief Operating Officer of Leighton Holdings Limited where he has direct responsibility for Risk Management, IT and Technical Systems, and as a member of the Leighton Holdings senior executive team, for operational issues across the whole Group. Immediately prior to taking on that role he was Managing Director and CEO of the John Holland Group.
