Brian Smith is the most senior technology role based in the BHP Billiton Corporate Centre. Over a 30 year career he has led highly innovative research applying advanced analytical techniques, especially NMR, to a wide range of projects in minerals and energy processing creating major value for the company. In recent years he has developed new technical risk assessment methodologies and is responsible for implementation of these to all major capital projects under consideration for investment by the company.
