Cherrell Hirst has had a profound influence on women's health, particularly in breast cancer and maternity services. She has given freely of her time to committees and boards to provide advice and leadership in a number of fields, including leading a task force on school transport safety. She took on the role of QUT Chancellor and led the university through an unprecedented period of growth and development.
