Don Blackmore has through his intellectual leadership and management ability made a unique contribution to the development of the knowledge base, strategies and programs for the management of natural resources, particularly in land and water; in river basins covering seperate political administrations. His work has been focussed on the Murray Darling Basin but the approaches developed are now recognised as having wide application across river basins around the world which are subject to a number of independant administrations. His work and expertise is recognised both Nationally and Internationally.
