Doreen Veronica Clark has a record of achievement in applying science to industry. She has combined her practical interest in science with a keen business acumen to build, over the past 20 years, one of the very few successful, science-based, multidisciplinary industries to have been established in Australia from scratch. This is a personal achievement over which Dr Clark retains administrative and technical control. The business is still in a growth phase, suggesting that Dr Clark has yet to reach her full career potential.

Dr Clark's original vocation was as a teacher in the university sector. She has retained an active involvement in education at the secondary and tertiary levels through lecturing, and membership of advisory committees and councils of a number of tertiary institutions.
