Professor Harvey has introduced laser based microfabrication technology to Australian industry through his teaching and research activities at Swinburne University of Technology and his commercial work at MiniFab Pty Ltd, a company established by Swinburne and private interests associated with the Caribbean Gardens Technology Park and of which he is the founding CEO. His work will bring a continuing benefit to the Australaian economy as firms in many industry sectors adopt the microfabrication techniques in their production lines.
