Through innovative and effective management Dr Geoffrey Alistair Knights developed Silcraft into a major Australian supplier of automotive components.

As part of its diversification program, the Company developed processes for the continuous co-extrusion of plastics on metal leading to significant exports.
Knights has also had a continuing interest in and made a major contribution to training and education. This has culminated in his appointment as Deputy Chancellor of Monash University.

His broad experience, his understanding of the needs of Australian industry, and his willingness to contribute to the education sector have been to the substantial benefit of this country.
