Grant King’s career is defined by visionary leadership, technological innovation and an enduring contribution to Australia's energy sector. As a former Managing Director of Origin Energy, Grant King led one of the nation's most significant transformations in an energy company. In this effort, he integrated energy transition with major investments in generation, retail and natural gas. He also played a pivotal role in advancing the Australia Pacific LNG project in Queensland, strengthening Australia's position in global energy markets and supporting domestic energy security and transition. King has also contributed extensively to public policy, innovation and industry development through board and advisory roles, including Sydney Water, the Climate Change Authority, Transgrid and the Great Barrier Reef Foundation. He also served as President of the Business Council of Australia.
