Dr Fox has spent the last decade establishing and building Australia's largest independent, private sector technology-based contract development company.

As such, he has been involved with almost every major manufacturer in Australia in the development of new products, new manufacturing facilities and business and technology plans, both domestically and internationally.

He has been active on the promotion and development of industrially-based R&D in Australia and has participated in the development of industry policy through the IR&D Board's 150% R&D Tax Concession Committee and the Inglis Committee of Enquiry into Government Purchasing.

Dr Fox has expanded the operations of his technology-based service company, Invetech, into South East Asia and Europe. He led the team which has established a long term manufacturing and export agreement with Leica (Switzerland) for a range of high value pathology laboratory instruments which are being developed and manufactured in Australia.

Dr Fox is also a director of the rapidly growing manufacturer of brake products, mining and railway equipment and automotive airconditioning, Futuris Ltd.
