Dr Wright is a recognised world leader in commercial research contributions for the direct reduction and smelting of iron ores, providing significant input to the development and commercialisation of CRA's Hismelt direct iron smelting process. He has subsequently demonstrated outstanding vision and energetic leadership as Chief of CSIRO Division of Energy Technology in the development and implementation of a R&D strategy for developing and applying advanced energy technologies for an sustainable energy future for Australia.
