Julian Cribb is an Australian author, editor and science communicator. He is a co-founder of the Council for the Human Future and author of six science books on the existential crisis facing humanity. He is an advocate for an Earth System Treaty.

Biography at time of election

Julian Cribb is one of Australia's leading science and technology communicators. His career spans 25 years in journalism and 6 in public sector science communication. As an innovator at the interface between S&T and society, he developed the internationally recognised National Awareness program for CSIRO. He was editor of six national and state newspapers or magazines; has published over 7000 articles mainly on science, science policy or technical topics; received 32 awards for journalism; authored 3 books and edited six. He was the founder president of Australian Science Communicators, and has served on numerous national and international scientific boards and advisory committees. Julian has had a significant impact on science and its application in Australia and internationally, especially in the areas of ecologically and economically sustainable food production.
