Dr Karl Kruszelnicki is a household name across Australia for his more than 40 years of public communication of science and technology across radio, TV, books, podcasts and online. Many people’s introduction to the wonders of science and the joy of curiosity in the world around us, Dr Karl has been celebrated in Australia and around the world, including through the 2019 UNESCO Kalinga Prize for the Popularisation of Science and the 2002 Ig Nobel for research into belly button lint. An unparalleled presenter and communicator of both science and the pure pleasure we can all derive from it; Dr Karl is a much- loved Australian icon and an inspiration to science communicators worldwide.
