Pratt is an international authority on catalytic science and technology. He has made seminal contributions in the fundamental science as well as applied industrial reactor technology. He has over 100 publications, including a successful book. Application of his knowledge to industry has resulted in substantial increases in plant capacity. He was appointed Adjunct Professor at Monash University, and to the International Editorial Board of the Journal of Cleaner Production. Pratt provides scientific leadership to 30 scientists, establishing a successful high profile industry-based Program. He is respected in the Chemical Engineering community and, as Fellow of I.Ch.E and LE.Aust, has served both in executive capacities at State and National levels. He is a consultant to Australian and overseas corporations.
