At present, he is leading the team working on one of Australia's largest and most innovative research projects which involves direct conversion of molten steel to coiled strip in one operation.

Mr. Gore also has an important role in representing Australia in many international technical forums and is a Director and technical advisor for the BHP Joint Venture in Ohio, USA where other new technology is now being commercialised.
