Mary Ann Augustin has made outstanding contributions to food science and the food industry through initiating and leading excellent research and working to apply the outcomes to creation of an impressive array of commercially successful food ingredients, products and processes. Dr Augustin has been the creative force underpinning these innovations, has had a key leadership role, and has participated throughout the pipeline from research to commercialisation. She has promoted multi-disciplinary approaches and contributed to the development of young scientists. Her work has been recognised by various awards for both academic and commercial achievement. She is a Research Program Leader at CSIRO.
