Biography at time of election

Neil Foster is Professor of Chemical Sciences & Engineering at UNSW. Joint winner of the John Brodie Medal (2000) and the RACI Applied Research Award (2006), he secured the largest number of ARC Large Grants in Australia 1989-95. Foster has held executive positions in IEAust and RACI, is currently Technical Director of Eiffel Technologies Pty Ltd and has just been made Honorary Professor at Beijing University of Chemical Technology. With over 100 publications and 10 patents, he regularly delivers invited lectures and keynote speeches worldwide. Most recently he has pioneered novel methods of drug development using Super Critical Fluid solvents.
