Göran Roos holds various positions, including board memberships at Medfield Diagnostics AB and Staccato Technologies AB, and a role on the Research and Development Advisory Committee for SARDI. He is a part-time full professor at Kristiania University College, Visiting Professor at Cranfield University, and Adjunct Professor at the University of Adelaide's ISER. He also serves as an independent trustee and member of the Risk, Audit and Compliance Committee at the University of Buckingham, and is a fellow of ATSE and the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences.

Professor Roos is one of the founders of modern intellectual capital science and a world expert in this field. He contributes in the areas of strategy, innovation management and industrial and innovation policy. He is a member of the South Australian Economic Development Board and holds several academic positions in Australia and overseas.
