Dr Fraser has performed world-class scientific reasearch on ozone depleting substances and global atmospheric change, with attention toward atmospheric measurements of CFCs and halons. His research and international scientific collaborations on global atmospheric change have significantly contributed to Australian and global policy development for protection of the ozone layer, and enhanced the international reputation of Australia. In communicating with policy-makers, industry and the community-at-large he has facilitated rapid and cost-effective responses, and has helped Australia meet its international obligations.
