Biography at time of election

Professor Philip Cocks has made an outstanding contribution to Australian agriculture in the fields of pasture research. management of dryland salinity, research management and agricultural education. His work directly and significantly benefits Australian and international agriculture production and rural ecosystems. He has published widely on pasture ecology and has provided leadership in agricultural education. He has worked in many difficult environments across diverse farming systems and cultures and has established an international reputation in his field. He is an originator and founding Director of the CRC for Plant Based Management of Dryland Salinity, the largest and most complex CRC.
