Professor Hui has pioneered many ground-breaking inventions that have both global and national impacts. Highly successful in both basic and applied research, he has transferred over 50 patents to Australian and International industries. His work on wireless charging technology led to the formation of a new International Wireless Charging Standard in 2010 and is used by over 30 major electronic companies worldwide. He is a frequent plenary speaker in international conferences. His lighting research enables the largest Australian Lighting Company Group to take the lead in marketing and installing large-scale energy-saving and Ecofriendly lighting systems in Australia and overseas.
