STELR education program launches its first ever primary school science and technology kits for classrooms
The beloved STELR program is now offering educational modules and kits targeted specifically at Years 5 and 6.

That’s why the ATSE STELR education team have created their first ever primary school kits. STELR is a beloved feature of over a thousand schools around the country and the world, providing hands-on science inquiry kits that help students and their teachers with resources on topics directly relevant to them – energy efficiency, housing, renewable energy and more.
The new STELR Years 5 and 6 classroom kits are simple resources that fit into the current Australian Science and Technology curriculums, with practical materials – batteries, electrical leads, lightbulbs, buzzers... – alongside workbooks and unit plans. Designed to slot into existing teaching schedules, these resources get students involved in their STEM education through inquiry-based learning.
This aligns with the hands-on and interactive nature of the existing suite of ATSE kits, which have been used in Australian schools for more than 15 years.
Through these kits, Primary school students get to investigate what materials conduct electricity, work together to figure out how to activate a circuit, and build switches for their own uses.
The kit is available to purchase now, and the classroom resources are free to download online.
