Professor Bradford is a world-leading scientist conducting research in structural engineering and mechanics; in particular his work on steel and composite structures and computational techniques is acknowledged at the forefront of the discipline internationally. He is the most prolific Australian publisher of structural engineering research in archival journals, and author of five seperate books appearing in numerous editions. These research outcomes have found widespread application to industry and the profession in code development both on and off-shore, in innovative composite applications such as push testing procedures, composite profiled beams and advanced technologies for plating concrete structures in retrofit of ageing infrastructure.
