Dr Connor has had a distinguished career in research. He has been the manager of Cameron McNamara's Research and Development division since 1983 and has directed many research oriented projects.

Since mid 1995 he has headed the General Engineering Di vision of Kinhill Cameron McNamara and often acts as the Regional General Manager. He has had significant involvement in international affairs.

He is involved in community, sporting and professional activities. He will be installed as President of the Institution of Engineers Australia in April 1996.

If elected a Fellow of the Academy he should be a significant contributor to Academy activities for many years.
